Psalm 150, Luke 24:34 Praise the Lord

Objectives:
To bring music to our Connecticut communities senior citizens in
assisted living. Methods:
Accept gear from you folks who might have something that is hard to
sell, or that you just don't use anymore. By uniting the power of the internet and our love of music, I believe we as a community of music lovers, can make a big difference in the lives of many people. Folks who might not have too much going for them, with relatively small investments. The power of music is huge and indisputable. By donating gear to our Methodist Church (not to me, I will deliver and set the systems up; put me to work!) you will receive a tax deduction for the fair market value (nothing valued under 50% retail) of your unwanted audio gear. I'm not talking about expensive stuff, just stuff that works and won't be a hassle for anyone to use. Integrated amps, CD Players and small speakers, racks and speaker stands are perfect! Just provide an estimate of the fair market value (retail minus 50% I would suggest). Not only are you rewarded with the satisfaction of doing something positive and in the spirit of our Lord, you won't lose much money on the gear you donate come tax time! It's a true win/win situation! I'll keep a running tab here of who has donated, and what we need to complete a system. Systems outside of Connecticut should be handled by other dealers in other states. If you know a good one, please turn them on to this and refer them back to me if they need help setting things up. Pretty cool huh! Simsbury United Methodist Church Steps to take:

This is truly a wonderful way to give back to the people and communities we live in. If you're a merchant in another area or know of one who may want to enlarge this program, let 'em know! Chances are they have a good client base. Let's start something good!!! Let's go national! "High end audio industry makes millions happy..." I can see the headlines... :) Thanks Very much and I hope to hear from ya soon! Peace all... Ted PS. two other sites that you may contribute to (without spending a penny) are The Rain Forrest Site and The Hunger Site. |
